← York Street Men Remembered
Poignant photograph of a young man setting off into an unimaginable experience. My great-uncle William Francis Curtis, Arva, County Cavan was also in the 9th Battallion, Royal Irish Fusiliers and died at the Somme, 1st July, 1916. I have been disappointed at not finding him listed on your site. The family have no army photograph of him and, although he is listed on the Cavan ` Faugh a Ballagh` WW1 memorial, I have been unable to find any Will, letters, army photographs, service record, etc. I would appreciate someone`s assistance in my quest.
