Francis Ernest McCann
Sergeant Francis Ernest McCann, 107th Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps Identified by his nephew David Morrow, Francis Ernest and his brother James McCann have both been identified on the lantern slides.
Francis married Sarah Baird Crossan in 1916, survived the war and died in 1937 of cardiac failure, having suffered from bronchial problems as a result of being gassed in the trenches.
During the Belfast Blitz of April 1941, Sarah Crossan McCann and two of their daughters were sadly killed in Glasgow Street.
One daughter survives today.
